Henri Giraud is a prestigious name known for producing rich, extensive and powerful wine. Their wines are 100% oak-fermented and the house insists on producing with oak casks from the forest in Aÿ to impose the forest terroir into the wine, giving it one of the most unique flavors among all Champagnes. One of the most epic champagne vintages in recent years, 2008 was dominated by grey, overcast skies and just when the harvest was getting underway, the weather cleared up, offering plentiful sunshine and prolonged north-northeasterly winds.
