The owner Hiro Kusuda started as a lawyer and later became a diplomat which granted him opportunities to travel the world and opened his eyes to wine. After years of travelling, he decided he wanted to set up his own vineyard in Martinborough, New Zealand. He first went to school in Germany to learn all about winemaking before he took on various jobs at vineyards in New Zealand, Australia as well as in Burgundy to get more hands-on experience. We are delighted to offer Kusuda Pinot Noir from 2012 to 2020, at special discounts available until 15th April - Subject to final confirmation....

En Premier: 2019 Bell Hill Pinot Noir & Chardonnay
Marcel Giesen and Sherwyn Veldhuizen began Bill Hill Vineyard in 1997. They started to plant the vines in a very dense pattern at up to 11,363 vines per hectare on the very steep slopes in the unique vineyard. The quality is unarguably outstanding and Joe Czerwinski from Wine Advocate commented on these beautiful wines after his visit in 2019 and tasted Vintage 2015, saying that “Is there any doubt that Bell Hill has emerged as one of New Zealand's top Pinot Noir producers?”. The winery was founded by Martha and Daniel Gantenbein in which they started to plant vines from the land of Martha’s father in 1980. And nowadays, they still manage everything by themselves. There are only a tiny 6 hectares of vineyards, located in the village of Fläsch in the Bündner Herrschaft which is 500 meters above sea level on the slopes....

We have a rare and limited Pinot Noir to offer today in which is the only USA Pinot Noir who received a 100-Pointer from renowned critics Antonio Galloni in Vintage 2018. The Platt Vineyard Pinot Noir from Riber-Marie. The winery is managed by husband and wife, Thomas Brown and Genevieve Welsh. Thomas is one of the most sought-after wine consultants in California and worked in several producers in Napa and Sonoma, Rivers-Marie was established in 2002 when Thomas produced a tiny amount of wines from the famous Summa Vineyard, which produced two 100-Point Pinot Noir from 1991.
