The Gros family has been making excellent wine in Burgundy since the early 1800s when Alphonse Gros married Madame Latour and acquired their first parcels of vines in Vosne-Romanee. The Domaine was divided as it was passed down from generation to generation thus making the Domaine names as complicated as it gets for a family with such a long history in the region. To make it simple, there are essentially four separate Gros Domaines, all related to each other: Gros Frère et Sœur, Anne Gros, Anne-Francoise Gros (aka A.F. Gros) and Michel Gros.
