Established in 1955 by Claude and Marie-Thérèse, Domaine Claude Dugat is a small family-run domaine and is widely considered one of the top producers in Gevrey-Chambertin. The domaine practises sustainable viticulture so they never use fertilisers or herbicides. They harvest grapes when they are just ripe, which is determined solely by taste instead of lab analysis, and thus creating wines that are fresh but also concentrated and intense thanks to the old-age vines.
