Chateau d’Yquem is an absolute triumph of sweet wines. This liquid gold is produced from Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon in Bordeaux, and is the only sweet white wine producer with a classification of premier cru superieur. Apart from being in a unique climate in Sauternes which allows botrytis grapes to grow, its excellence also comes from winemaking knowledge in which they have centuries of experience dating back to the 1500s. They only release a vintage under its own label when quality of grapes are up to their standards, otherwise they are sold off to other producers. Due to the climate, the grapes go through a "noble rot" and shrivel thus produce very little juice but which is exactly what makes the juice incredibly concentrated and produces the sweet and elegant wines they are known for, but also the very reason why their bottles cost a pretty penny.

Since 1959, Chateau d’Yquem also produces a superb dry white ‘Y’ Ygrec from 80% Semillon and 20% Sauvignon Blanc, the wine is sourced from leftover grapes after the harvest of Chateau d’Yquem, mildly affected by the botrytis but never achieve higher than 15% potential alcohol. The quantities of grapes which are available to produce the dry ‘Y’ Ygrec varies among vintages, so the productions are very unstable. This excellent dry white contains unique notes of Sauternes such as golden apple, apricot and mango, and also balanced with racy acidity which have a long development path of at least 15 years or longer.

Production is limited with around 10,000 bottles per year, we are delighted to offer two mature vintages 2006 & 2007 today, they are bought by original wooden cases which stored in UK bonded warehouse since release, available at discounted price at HK$1,500 per bottle, valid until the end of 2^nd June 22(Thu) -
