With a history dated as far back as 1757, Eric Rodez as the eighth generation of the Rodez family took over the estate in 1982.  Located at the great Grand Cru of Ambonnay with 6 hectares of vineyards, Eric carefully takes care of 38% of  Chardonnay and 62%  of Pinot Noir grapes, along with the organic and biodynamic approach. 
 
With Eric’s extensive experience as an oenologist with Krug, he enables to bring back his spectacular blending and wine-making techniques to his own estate, using both small barrels and stainless steel to perform the unique characteristic of the terroir. During Eric’s travel to various wine regions such as Alsace, he also gain an appreciation for organic and biodynamic vineyard practices. Without the use of any pesticides, fertilizers or synthetic sprays in the vineyards, Rodez enables to bring out the minerality of the wine, at the same time showing the layered and complex style of Ambonnay Champagnes. Mickael as the ninth generation is now actively involved in the Rodez’s beautiful Champagne production as well.
