Orons de Beler, the founder of Oroncio La Maison Romane, was born in 1978 in Paris. After quitting his job in 2004, he rented a 16-century house with 2 cellars in 2005 at the centre of Vosne-Romanée, and started making wines under the name of La maison Romane. Without any vines of his own, he bought grapes from only one wine grower, who owned biodynamic vineyards. Moved to Nuits-St-Georges in 2017, the spacious and vaulted wine cellar allows them to perform their unique and rebellious wine style excellently.
