Tax Information:

Upon arrival in Japan, customs will collect taxes on alcoholic beverages. We will reach out to you after your order to arrange payment for the alcoholic beverage tax via WhatsApp or email, which can be settled using a credit card.The tax structure for alcoholic beverages in Japan includes:

Customs Duty:

Wine: 15% or ¥125 per liter (minimum ¥67 per liter).

Sparkling wine or champagne: ¥182 per liter.

Sake: ¥70.4 per liter.

Whiskey: 17.5% or ¥77 per liter.

Alcohol Tax:

Wine, sparkling wine, or champagne: ¥100,000 per kiloliter.

Whiskey: ¥370,000 per kiloliter; an additional ¥100,000 per kiloliter applies for each percentage point of alcohol content exceeding 37%.

Sales Tax:

All alcoholic products are taxed at a rate of 10% on the total of the taxed price plus alcohol tax and customs duty.

Example Calculation:

For a bottle of wine (750ml) valued at ¥10,000 with an alcohol content of 14%:

Customs Duty: 125×0.75=¥93.75125×0.75=¥93.75

Alcohol Tax: ¥75¥75 (for 750ml)

Sales Tax: (¥10,000+¥93.75+¥75)×10%=¥1,016.875(¥10,000+¥93.75+¥75)×10%=¥1,016.875

Total Tax Payable: ¥93.75+¥75+¥1,016.875=¥1,185.625¥93.75+¥75+¥1,016.875=¥1,185.625

Additionally, we will impose a customs clearance fee of HKD 200 (approximately ¥400) per order on top of the taxes.

Tax Information:

Singapore Wine Tax: After placing an order, we will reach out to you to collect the tax fees via WhatsApp or email. The tax fees will be charged to your credit card through a payment link.

The import duties for grape wine in Singapore are as follows:

Grape Wine Tax: SGD 88 per liter of alcohol content.

Additionally, there is a consumption tax of 9% (which includes the grape wine tax).

Example Calculation:

For one bottle of grape wine (750ml; value SGD 100; alcohol content: 13%):

Grape Wine Tax: 881000×750×0.13=SGD8.58100088​×750×0.13=SGD8.58

Consumption Tax: (100+8.58)×0.09=SGD9.7722(100+8.58)×0.09=SGD9.7722

Total Tax: SGD 18.3522

In addition to taxes, we will charge HKD 200 (approximately SGD 35) per order for the courier company's customs clearance fee.
