Mature Philipponnat including Clos des Goisses L.V. from 1992

Philipponnat Clos des Goisses is the best kept secret in Champagne – a single vineyard plot which spreads over 5.5 hectares, planted with around 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. The plot of vineyard has been separated into 16 individual plots with different ages of vines. It is unique compared to any other single vineyard in Champagne as it is south-facing on an extremely steep slope, making the fruits - hence the wines produced - extra fruity and rich in flavour. Dosage is kept low around 4-5g/l to truly reflect this terroir-driven Champagne. With the unique qualities of this Champagne, it has a serious...

🍾Just Arrived! Top Prices Taittinger Comtes de Champagne 2005 & 2006

Taittinger's history dates back as far as 1734 and was first named Forest-Fourneaux when it was owned by a wealthy textile merchant named Jacques Fourneaux. It was in 1932 when it was acquired by Pierre Taittinger that the Champagne house was renamed to the familiar name we all know today. By the 1950s, Taittinger became one of the Grandes Marques among the other famous Champagne brands such as Bollinger, Moët & Chandon, and Louis Roederer. While the Champagne house's leading label is its non-vintage Brut Reserve, a blend that contains 40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 25% Pinot Meunier, they also produce a Comtes de Champagne prestige cuvée in great vintages which uses 100% Chardonnay (aka...
