Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret has a history dating back to 1620 but was only named "Mongeard-Mugneret" in 1945 after Eugene Mongeard and Edmee Mugneret married, and is currently managed by the 9th generation Vincent and Anne. They have vineyards of approximately 30 hectares in total, spread across 35 different appellations in which many are located in Vosne-Romanee including top terroirs Richebourg, Grands Echezeaux and Echezeaux Grand Crus. The iconic polychromatic-tiled Hôtel-Dieu (Hospices de Beaune) in central Beaune currently owns around 60 hectares which the majority are used for Pinot Noir production and the rest used for Chardonnay, in which around 85% are premier crus and grand crus. Among their vineyards is a Pouilly-Fuissé Cuvée Françoise Poisard which was acquired in 1994 and 2012 thanks to Françoise Poisard’s bequest. Domaine Chantal Remy has a history dating back to the 1820s when it was first established under the name Domaine Louis Remy. Chantal is a qualified oenologist and helped her mother at the domaine from 1988 after her father passed away. When her mother passed away in 2008, Chantal and her two brothers inherited the domaine and she was able to keep 1.5hectares of vineyards (out of the total 4.5) and were all the Grand Crus in the family; and that was when, from the 2009 vintage, that the domaine was renamed from Louis Remy to Chantal Remy.   Following...
