Dom Ruinart was established in 1729 and was the very first established house of Champagne. They only make a handful of cuvees which are the Blanc de Blancs and Rose which are both available in NV and Millesime, in which the Millesime are only created in the best harvests. The essence of all their cuvees, their Champagnes are made entirely with Chardonnay Grand Cru that is carefully harvested on different terroirs from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims vineyards to offer complementary characteristics. It is at the heart of the cellars of Maison Ruinart that these prestige bottles are slowly aged, for an average of ten years, and gain in aromatic complexity. Their Champagnes are known to be elegant, fresh and sophisticated with a refined structure.
With a theatrical, classic yet edgy approach to the brand, Ruinart decided to celebrate their first-time release of blanc 2002 and Rose 1998 with Dutch designer Maarten Baas, who was known as one of the most influential designers of the beginning of the 21st century. Together with his rebellious, intellectual and artistic style, their collaboration has created the amazing black casket, which can be used as a jewellery tray once it's empty.
