Joseph Drouhin is one of the biggest names in Beaune and owns vineyards all over Burgundy. Founded in 1880, Drouhin has built a reputation for making wines that primarily reflect the individual terroir and vintage. They apply a balance of traditional and modern techniques and they carefully monitor the whole winemaking process from vine to wine. In 2009, they were awarded organic certification for all grapes grown within its vineyards beginning with the 2009 vintage. Producing both reds and whites, their house style captures the purity of fruits with shorter aging period in oak and earlier bottling to preserve the charming fruitiness and completely reflect each of the terroirs.
One of our most memorable experiences with Drouhin comes from a tasting of their Vougeot Les Petits Vougeots last year as it unquestionably stood out among other Grand Cru reds. The Vougeot Les Petits Vougeots is a 1er Cru terroir adjacent to both the famous Les Musigny Grand Cru and Les Amoureuses 1er Cru. We were utterly seduced by the incredible nose and very satisfying palate. This is a wine that can compete against the most esteemed names in Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot, but remains very fair-priced.
Today we are happy to offer the Vougeot Petit Vougeots 1er Cru 2017 which is almost impossible to source in the market and is actually extremely approachable in its price especially if you compare it to the Les Amoureuses. Taking the 2014 Les Amoureuses for example, the market price is currently at HK$4,424 per bottle^! Now available to order at special price of just HK$830 per bottle or HK$790 per bottle if you purchase 3 bottles or above, don't miss this chance to secure Drouhin's Vougeot Les Petits Vougeots 1er Cru 2017 -
