The Prieur family started buying vineyards in the late 19th century, and with the financial help by the Labruyère family in later days, Domaine Jacques Prieur now enjoys a fantastic holding of Grand Crus such as Musigny, Montrachet, Chambertin, Chambertin Clos de Beze, Clos de Vougeot, Echezeaux and Corton; and they also own three monopoles in Volnay, Meursault and Beaune.
