The vines were located from an exceptionally well positioned 1 ha parcel situated directly beneath Les Petits Musigny and was managed by Pascal Marchard who later established Maison Marchand-Tawse. 2002 is definitely a sheer and successful vintage for Domaine de la Vougeraie and Pascal Marchard, Allen Meadows mentioned that “all of the Vougeraie '02s are most impressive“ and described the Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru “superb density”, “elegant”, “refinded” and “plenty of character”.
