Arguably the last release of Vintage 2008's prestige cuvee – The Bollinger R.D 2008 has been released. Bollinger R.D., an abbreviation for "Recemment Degorge", lies in the cellar and is aged longer on the lees, and usually receives a lower dosage at around 3-4g/L. It is a rare cuvee that takes up only 1% of Bollinger's entire production. The Bollinger R.D 2008 are disgorged in October 2022 which stayed 13 years with the lees to develop its structure and power. Taittinger's history dates back as far as 1734 and was first named Forest-Fourneaux when it was owned by a wealthy textile merchant named Jacques Fourneaux. It was in 1932 when it was acquired by Pierre Taittinger that the Champagne house was renamed to the familiar name we all know today. By the 1950s, Taittinger became one of the Grandes Marques among the other famous Champagne brands such as Bollinger, Moët & Chandon, and Louis Roederer. We are delighted to offer a parcel of “012” edition, this is a Champagne rose produced by 91% Chardonnay from Le Mesnil sur Oger Grand Cru vineyards and blended with 9% Coteaux Champenois from Bouzy and Ambonnay Grand Cru.
