A rising star in Chambolle-Musigny, Domaine Benjamin Roblot was set up by Benjamin in 2016 after taking over the family vineyards. They own top vineyards in the village of Chambolle and beyond, but before Benjamin took over, all the vineyards were either leased to other growers or the grapes were sold to negociants. Apart from holdings of the Grand Cru Bonnes-Mares, the domaine also owns Les Amoureuses Premier Cru and two more Premier Cru in Chambolle: Les Fuées and Les Gruenchers, Benjamin planted an additional 1.5 hectares of vines in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. The owner Hiro Kusuda started as a lawyer and later became a diplomat which granted him opportunities to travel the world and opened his eyes to wine. After years of travelling, he decided he wanted to set up his own vineyard in Martinborough, New Zealand.
