Even Clive Coates, Master of Wine, had praised Ramonet to be the “white equivalent of Henri Jayer or DRC”. And despite the amazing quality they produce year after year, they maintain a relatively low profile and are accessible in price. They are extremely protective of the old vines in the vineyards and perform fermentation in stainless steel vats before moving to oak casks which allow them to evolve into the elegant, smooth thus superb quality wines.

The vineyard lies at the very southern end of the Saint-Aubin appellation, located on the border with Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet that are always more delicate and complex with it’s neighbors so that it is one of the best Premier Cru in the Saint-Aubin appellation.
