Now in Stock: Bass Phillip 2021 & 2022

Established in 1979 by visionary Philip Jones in Leongatha South, Gippsland, Victoria, the winery has garnered prestigious accolades over its four-decade history. In 2020, Bass Phillip entered a new era when it was acquired by a syndicate led by Jean-Marie Fourrier, the acclaimed winemaker from Burgundy's Domaine Fourrier. This transition marked a significant milestone, with the 2021 vintage being the first fully produced under the new ownership and Fourrier's guidance. The collaboration between Bass Phillip's established expertise and Fourrier's Burgundian influence has further elevated the winery's reputation, focusing on precision and attention to detail both in the vineyard and winery. The result is a collection of wines that showcase the unique terroir of Gippsland while drawing parallels to high-level Burgundian craftsmanship.
