Domaine Michel Caillot was established in the 1960s by Roger Caillot, Michel’s father. Michel, the nephew of Pierre Morey (the ex-winemaker at Domaine Leflaive), started working in the family Domaine in the 1980s and then took full charge from 1995. The domaine owns 14ha of vineyards in which most of their whites are located in Meursault with some others in Puligny-Montrachet, Batard-Montrachet, and Santenay; while their reds are located in Pommard, Volnay, Beaune and Monthelie. Michel applies an organic approach in the vineyards and does not use any synthetic pesticides or fertilizers and is committed to the principles of non-interventionist winemaking. Established in 2008, Domaine Berlancourt is one of the smallest Domaines in Burgundy which is located in Meursault. Adrien Berlancourt has been exposed to different wines since a very young age, and when he was just 20 years old in 2008, he already finished working at Etienne Sauzet and Domaine Trapet, then together with his father Pierre aimed to produce the most natural and high-quality Chardonnay. Pierre was a high-regarded sommelier, who is a very good friend with two of the Burgundy legends Jean-Francois Coche Dury and the ex-DRC winemaker Bernard Noblet.
