Domaine Fourrier is managed by second-generation Jean-Marie Fourrier, who took over the family estate in 1990 when he was only 23 years old but was already extremely experienced for his age. His experience came not only from his experience from working at his family domaine, but also from working with the legendary Henri Jayer in Vosne-Romanee in which he was a part of the creation of the epic 1988 vintage. He learned and followed Jayer's philosophy in that the creation of the best wine starts in the vineyard, hence he has been meticulous in the cultivation of his vineyards, most especially for the old vines at Domaine Fourrier, and the domaine has been well-known for the elegance and rich fruits with immense purity in their wines.
 
Wine Advocate’s William Kelley commented that Jean-Marie Fourrier “has produced another attractive set of wines” in Vintage 2022. This year, there are also some exciting new cuvees of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay with the vines acquired from Domaine Comte de Chapelle, including the limited-produced Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru.
