Though the two Grand Crus Charmes-Chambertin and Mazoyeres-Chambertin are neighbours, many producers only name their wines to be Charmes-Chambertin even though part of their grapes are from Mazoyeres. It is debatable whether the two terroirs have much differences but Dugat Py for one separates the two parcels clearly as Charmes-Chambertin and Mazoyeres-Chambertin. Dugat Py believes Mazoyeres is even a better terroir than Charmes-Chambertin. Likewise, Domaine de la Vougeraie is another example that believes in the Mazoyeres terroir - labelling the wines as “Charmes-Chambertin les Mazoyeres” ("les Mazoyeres" because they only own a tiny 0.74 hectares in Mazoyeres but still find it worthy...

A new joiner in Burgundy with strong German perfectionism, Les Horées comes from Catharina Sadde who is German in origin, and her French husband Guilhem. Les Horées was founded in 2019, Catharina Sadde turned herself from a trained chef to a winemaker by studying enology and viticulture in Montpellier and at the University of Geisenheim.
