Domaine Fourrier is managed by second generation Jean-Marie Fourrier, who took over the family estate in 1990 when he was only 23 years old but was already extremely experienced for his age. Founded in 1858, Domaine Robert Arnoux is a family-run estate and had built a reputation for themselves when Pascal Lachaux became fully in charge of the winemaking in 1990 and subsequently took over the domaine when his father-in-law Robert Arnoux passed away in 1995. The domaine was renamed to "Arnoux-Lachaux" in 2008, and in 2012, the domaine was passed down to the family's sixth generation, Charles Lachaux. Located in Premeaux near Nuits-St-Georges, Jean-Jacques Confuron covers eight hectares and has been farmed organically since 1991. The domaine benefits from a high proportion of old vines, especially the village Chambolle and the Romanée St-Vivant which were planted in 1929. The grapes are destalked and given a shortish fermentation with punching down, to avoid the air contact of pumping over. A relatively new yet highly successful, Lucien Le Moine quickly made its mark in Burgundy thanks to the remarkable work done by owners Mounir and Rotem Saouma since 1999, who have had extensive work experiences and studies in the field.
