The Prieur family started buying vineyards in the late 19th century, and with the financial help by the Labruyère family in later days, Domaine Jacques Prieur now enjoys a fantastic holding of Grand Crus such as Musigny, Montrachet, Chambertin, Chambertin Clos de Beze, Clos de Vougeot, Echezeaux and Corton; and they also own three monopoles in Volnay, Meursault and Beaune. Though the family has been cultivating vines for seven generations, Domaine Michel Bouzereau was only registered in 1971.
