Domaine Ponsot Selection from Vintage 2000 to 2017

Laurent Ponsot, the 4th generation at Domaine Ponsot, has continued to lead the Domaine to produce brilliant wines from village to Grand Cru wines, and has developed a remarkable, unique style that clearly...

Consulted by Louis-Michel Liger-Belair: Pommard Clos de la Commaraine Monopole 2020
Originally owned by the Jaboulet-Vercherre family and marketed by Louis Jadot, Domaine de la Commaraine is one of the most aristocratic single estates of Burgundy since the 12th century when it was founded. It is now owned by Harvard Professor, Denise Dupré, and Mark Nunelly, former Managing Director of a Boston Capital investment fund, since 2017, who aims to revive the Clos de la Commaraine wine to its former glory and make it one of the best Premier Crus of Cote de Beaune. To achieve this, they made an agreement with Domaine Comte du Liger-Belair's winemaker, Louis-Michel Liger-Belair to be the consultant for the wine and the first vintage...

Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret has a history dating back to 1620 but was only named "Mongeard-Mugneret" in 1945 after Eugene Mongeard and Edmee Mugneret married, and is currently managed by the 9th generation Vincent and Anne. They have vineyards of approximately 30 hectares in total, spread across 35 different appellations in which many are located in Vosne-Romanee including top terroirs Richebourg, Grands Echezeaux and Echezeaux Grand Crus. The Domaine's wines are traditionally concentrated, with rich mid-palates and intensity, and nowadays are more elegant with a mild influence of oak. Mentionedby Wine Advocate’s William Kelley earlier, that Domaine Mongeard-Mugneret are "some of the finest values to be found on the secondary market today,...

In 1970s, father of Robert Chevillon, Maurice Chevillon decided to bottle by themselves instead of selling grapes to negociants. Later, Robert Chevillon is the man who put the domaine in a higher league. He emphasized on terroirs with their wonderful holdings in Nuits St Georges and gave extra care to protect the vines. Most of the vines are vieilles vignes between 50-75 years old to produce attractive and fruit-forward wines and the 1er Cru are extraordinary which can always compete with a...
