"A Chinese Winemaker, 2022 Release from Maison FANG
Maison FANG is an emerging winery located in Burgundy, France, founded by Chinese owner and winemaker Franck Fan (方明). The Chinese name for Maison FANG is 方寸酒莊, which incorporates the founder's surname and conveys the meaning "great achievements in a small space," reflecting Franck Fan's vision of leaving a Chinese winemaker's mark in the sacred land of Burgundy.
Despite its relatively short history, Maison FANG has already made a name for itself in the international market, producing only about 5,000 bottles per year. Franck Fan's meticulous attention to detail and unique understanding of each terroir, combined with strict adherence to local terroir principles, results in wines that showcase the true essence of Burgundy.
Characterized by their elegance, balance, and purity, Franck Fan has achieved a remarkable Chinese winemaking story in the traditional and conservative land of Burgundy.
