đžâ¨No More at Champagne House, Rare: Jean Gimonnet Millesime 1996 & 1999
Jul 07, 2026
Since 1826, Jean Gimonnet has been deeply rooted in the village of Cuis, at the heart of the Côte des Blancs in Champagne. The estate owns 9 hectares of vineyards, the majority classified as Premier Cru. In 1996, Jean-Luc Gimonnet took over the family business, introducing modern viticultural techniques while emphasizing sustainable farming. The vineyards are maintained with minimal herbicide use, preserving the natural vegetation.
Â
To enhance quality, crop yields are carefully controlled to ensure greater concentration and purity in the grapes. The wines are crafted with a low dosage approach to best express the distinct terroir of each vineyard.
Â
Jean Gimonnet Premier Cru MillĂŠsime which is crafted from the estateâs finest Premier Cru Chardonnay grapes and aged on lees in bottle for nearly 30 years. This slow maturation brings profound aromatic complexity and depth to the wine while retaining a lively freshness, achieving remarkable finesse and balance between maturity and vitality.
