Maison Louis Jadot is one of the largest maisons in Bourgogne and owns over 60 hectares of vineyard, many of them Grand Cru and Premier Crus. Founded in 1859, the house ran in the family until it was passed to long-time manager Andre Gagey when the last male member in the family passed away. Located at Pesson-Leognan, Chateau Laville Haut Brion was established in 1611 by Marie de Laville, who was a wealthy window of a Bordeaux magistrate, Sir de Queyrac. Their family owned the estate for around a century until 1717 that sold to a surgeon Bernard Gaussens. After changing hands many times, the estate was eventually purchased by the Dillon family in 1983, who owns Chateau Haut Brion, and at the same time purchased La Mission Haut Brion and  La Tour Haut Brion.
