A talented star who established his name in 2000s, Cedric Bouchard started his estate Roses de Jeanne in Aube from only 1.09ha of vines from the beginning and expanded to 3.5ha nowadays. Cedric Bouchard’s dedication to the environment through biodynamic practices and a revolutionary philosophy: single vineyard, single variety, single vintage, and zero dosage. He is practicing in a Burgundian way in Champagne.
 
A stellar wine of the great estate, Roses de Jeanne Cote de Bechalin is a 100% Pinot Noir formerly known as “La Parcelle”. It comes from Lieu-dits “Cote de Bechalin”, a tiny but sunny, southwest-facing limestone plot at only 0.46 hectares. There are less than 1,500 bottles produced each year so having any of these ancient vintages is extremely difficult nowadays.

We started with Cédric Bouchard's 2005 La Parcelle Côte de Bechalin. What a Champagne! Rich, vinous and deeply resonant, the 2005 impressed with its balance and sheer class. Wow. This was a great showing.
