Rare Mature Bottles, Henri Giraud Fût de Chêne MV14

Henri Giraud is a prestigious name known for producing rich, extensive and powerful wine. Founded way back in 1625, Henri Giraud is one of the oldest Champagne houses in the region and is still a family-run business which is currently owned by twelfth generation Claude Giraud, with his son managing the company while son-in-law being the head winemaker.
 
Their wines are 100% oak-fermented and the house insists on producing with oak casks from the forest in Aÿ to impose the forest terroir into the wine, giving it one of the most unique flavors among Champagnes in the world. Fût de Chêne is one of the popular cuvees from Henri Giraud which undergone about 11 months aging in small Argonne oak barrels and stays with 5 years further aging on lees post-blending before disgorgement.
