93pts Wine Advocate
I was bowled-over by the quality of the 1995 Corton-Charlemagne, it is certainly the finest wine I have tasted from this famous estate. Beguiling aromas of red berries, vanilla, and traces of coconut are followed by a powerful punch of concentrated, extracted, and intense flavors. This gorgeous medium-to-full-bodied wine has a tightly wound "nugget" of red currants, almonds, hazelnuts, pears, and minerals in its silky-textured, extremely well-balanced, and admirably long character.
92pts Allen Meadows, tasted 150cl Mag
This is actually quite close to the 750 ml version (see herein) and about the only difference is that there is a bit more freshness and vibrancy. Like the 750 ml version, a mature and elegant if ever-so-slightly exotic and ripe white pear and green apple suffused nose is followed by medium weight, concentrated and relatively round flavors that offer excellent acid/fruit balance and impressive if not truly sensational length where about the only nit is a touch of warmth. This is drinking perfectly now though it should certainly hold for many years to come, particularly in magnum format.
