We were lucky to sample a remarkable bottle of Lucien Le Moine Vosne-Romanee Les Suchots 2014 during the weekend, it has lovely and energetic aromas of spices and violet, followed with long and rising finish which is a serious Vosne-Romanee wine with high completeness.
 
Lucien Le Moine only source their grapes from 1er Cru and Grand Cru plots, and do everything by hand. The winemaking philosophy is to produce wines of exceptional purity, and they do just that - their wines are excellent and focused and reflect the unique terroir from which each came. They gained a reputation for crafting some of "Burgundy's most perfumed and downright sexy wines" in the words of Josh Reynolds.
