2014 Saint-Aubin La Princee from Hubert Lamy

With a long history and deep roots in Burgundy, the Lamy family has started to grow vines since 1640. Domaine Hubert Lamy is managed by Olivier Lamy nowadays who took over from his father Hubert Lamy starting from 1996. Oliver kept the best and the old vines, replanted those unideal ones; he prefers to plant in high-density and limit the oak influence to the white by using larger oak barrels. The wines are fresh and vibrant which can fully express the minerality of the wines.

This is also quite fresh and citrusy with a layered array of various white orchard fruit and wet stone nuances. The chiseled, intense and lemony middle weight flavors offer excellent persistence on the notably dry and crisp if not especially complex finish, though more depth will undoubtedly develop.
