Domaine Hudelot Noellat is widely appreciated as one of the top producers in Burgundy and one of our favourite domaines in Vosne-Romanée. Alain Hudelot-Noellat founded the domaine in 1962 and is currently managed by his grandson Charles van Canneyt, continuing his excellent work. They own vineyards spread across Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny, Clos Vougeot and Nuits-St-Georges, including also the most famous Grand Crus Romanée-St-Vivant and Richebourg. Without question, they are one of those domaines who are capable of producing fantastic wines from Grand Crus to Village wines. They aim to work "as close to nature as possible"; therefore, they do their best to reveal the most sincere character of their terroirs, with manually harvesting and sorting, 80% destemming, and using indigenous yeasts. Their wines are not clarified nor filtered, and are kept in oak barrels for 16 months in which only 20% are new barrels
