Denis Mortet Gevrey-Chambertin En Champs Vertical Parcel 2000-2003

Having worked in his father’s vineyard since 1991, Denis Mortet set up his domaine under his own name and quickly made a name for himself as he was a perfectionist who put a lot of care and effort from vines to wines. The wines he produced were some of the most charming and elegant styles in Gevrey-Chambertin. Sadly, his life ended short in January 2006 and the domaine is currently managed by his son Arnaud who continues Denis' legacy with the same approaches from vine to cellar thus delivering equally beautiful and elegant wines just like his father. Denis Mortet made his last vintage in 2005 and nowadays mature Denis Mortet is nearly impossible to find, and many aficionados who are lucky enough to try his wines have said they are always remarkable and unique. The beauty and elegance are simply too hard to find from other names in Gevrey-Chambertin.
