Lucien Le Moine 1er Cru 2015 White Selections with Special Case Offers!

Since 1999, Lucien Le Moine has been doing remarkable work and quickly made its mark in Burgundy as owners Mounir and Rotem Saouma have had extensive work experiences and studies in the field - and let's not forget to mention that they put in a lot of hard work through the winemaking process from grape selection to vinification.
They only source their grapes from 1er Cru and Grand Cru plots, and do everything by hand. The winemaking philosophy is to produce wines of exceptional purity, and they do just that - their wines are excellent and focused and reflect the unique terroir from which each came. They gained a reputation for crafting some of "Burgundy's most perfumed and downright sexy wines" in the words of Josh Reynolds.
Today we are pleased to offer a premier cru selection of Lucien Le Moine wines from the beautiful Burgundy vintage of 2015 including Chassagne Montrachet Grandes Ruchottes, Meursault Les Charmes and Meursault Les Genevrières, and each with a special case offer price.

Hazy light yellow. Restrained aromas of pineapple, lemon oil, lavender and caraway seed convey a Chevalier-Montrachet-like early charm as well as serious verve. The penetrating palate comes almost as a shock, as very firm acidity and a strong salty character give tension and freshness to the flavors of orange oil and minerals. Finishes salty and very long, with sexy brown-spice lift. This wine has the thickness to support its rather powerful spine.

Slightly cloudy appearance. Knockout nose combines aromas of candied lemon peel, redcurrant, fresh herbs, humid fern, camomile and cinnamon cookies. Densely packed and solid as a rock, if not showing quite as much personality in the mouth as on the nose. Wonderfully sweet, though, with captivating floral lift to its citrus and red berry flavors. Finishes surprisingly dry, with a touch of bitter citrus zest character and salty minerality. Saouma, who makes his Charmes from a high and low parcel, told me he normally finds this premier cru a bit anonymous as it's frequently picked too late and ripe, but this wine is utterly distinctive.

Lucien Le Moine Meursault Les Genevrières 1er Cru 2015

Case Offer: HK$9,540 per case 6*75cl (average HK$1,590 per bottle)

93-95pts Stephen Tanzer

Cloudy appearance. Fascinating aromas of apple, strawberry, redcurrant, juniper, mint, quinine and anise, plus a malty suggestion of Islay scotch. Wonderfully silky and sweet but with outstanding acidity and verve to its flavors of lemon, flowers and medicinal herbs (this struck me as like a more lemony version of Adi Badenhorst's Caperitif). Very rich and thick but dry, finishing with outstanding energy and palate-staining persistence. Another utterly singular Meursault.

Apart from the above, we also have the below selections from Lucien Le Moine from stock. All the below except for the Volnay Clos des Chenes 1er Cru 2013 and the Beaune Clos des Mouches 1er Cru 2017 are already in stock and ready to go. Check them out -
