The Gros family has been making excellent wine in Burgundy since the early 1800s when Alphonse Gros married Madame Latour and acquired their first parcels of vines in Vosne-Romanee. The Domaine was divided as it was passed down from generation to generation thus making the Domaine names as complicated as it gets for a family with such a long history in the region. To make it simple, there are essentially four separate Gros Domaines, all related to each other: Gros Frère et Sœur, Anne Gros, Anne-Francoise Gros (aka A.F. Gros) and Michel Gros. While they come from the same family, they are all industrious viticulturalists who adhere to their own philosophies in wine-making.
Today we are happy to share with you our latest collection of Anne Gros wines that are in stock and arriving in a couple of weeks which includes some very approachable bottles such as the village 2019 of Chambolle-Musigny La Combe d'Orveau in which Anne Gros is the largest owner of this appellation with over 50% ownership and is a land neighbouring the Echezeaux Orveaux; and also have Vosne-Romanee Les Barreaux which is located on the upper side of the famous Cros Parantoux 1er Cru, Richebourg Grand Cru and Aux Brulees 1er Cru. If you are looking to splurge and keen for a collectible bottle, we have the Richebourg 2004 at HK$5,500 per bottle.
