Marie Courtin is a singular voice in the Côte des Bar, where Dominique Moreau has transformed this tiny estate into a beacon for Champagne purists seeking energy and terroir expression in every bottle. Named for Dominique’s grandmother - a woman deeply rooted to the land and the vineyard - the domaine was founded in Polisot in 2005 and is renowned for its devotion to organic and biodynamic viticulture. With just 2.5 hectares planted mainly to Pinot Noir and a touch of Chardonnay, each plot is meticulously tended by hand, reflecting a philosophy that values the “single vineyard, single grape, single vintage” mindset, in sharp contrast to Champagne’s traditional emphasis on blending.

Marie Courtin’s cuvées are outstanding with their precision, minerality, and purity, shaped by the Kimmeridgian soils that connect the vineyard to Chablis as much as to Champagne. Dominique’s commitment to gentle winemaking - natural yeasts, no dosage, minimal sulfur - lets the fruit and terroir resonate in the glass. Each release is an authentic expression of place and vintage, resulting in multi-layered, vivid Champagnes that continue to intrigue and captivate connoisseurs the world over.
