Pierre Péters stands among the most precise voices of Le Mesnil sur Oger, a grower house that has quietly refined the art of Chardonnay on the Côte des Blancs since the early twentieth century. From its mosaic of Grand Cru parcels in Le Mesnil, Oger, Avize and Cramant, the domaine captures a bright, salty edge and wraps it in quiet richness, making wines that taste both super fresh and surprisingly comforting at the same time.   

Les Montjolys and L’Etonnant Monsieur Victor take this signature in two distinct, complementary directions, both born from a meticulous selection of sites and reserve wines. Les Montjolys, from seven parcels on the only argile à silex slope in Le Mesnil, translates its deeper clay and flint into a silkier, more immediately seductive Blanc de Blancs, where creamy texture, blossom, citrus and a gentle smokiness echo the singularity of the lieu dit. L’Etonnant Monsieur Victor is a multi vintage Grand Cru cuvée built on the estate’s perpetual reserve, with long time aging on lees to gain a brilliant golden hue, fine mousse and a layered palate of yellow fruits, acacia, spice, citrus rind and grilled almonds, finishing long and almost saline. Together, these two cuvées form a discreet trilogy within the Pierre Péters range, inviting the taster to explore time, terroir and texture through the lens of one of Champagne’s most eloquent growers.
