Being one of the top producers in Burgundy, Domaine Robert Chevillon started growing vines in Nuits St Georges from the 19 centuries. In 1970s, father of Robert Chevillon, Maurice Chevillon decided to bottle by themselves instead of selling grapes to negociants.
 
Later, Robert Chevillon is the man who put the domaine in a higher league. He emphasized on terroirs with their wonderful holdings in Nuits St Georges and gave extra care to protect the vines. Most of the vines are vieilles vignes between 50-75 years old to produce attractive and fruit-forward wines and the 1er Cru are extraordinary which can always compete with a few Grand Crus.
 
We have sampled a bottle of Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes 2014 and found this is stunning. The Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes is a blend from more than seven plots in the village, it’s elegance and finesse are completely enjoyable which ends with a long and smooth finish. Stepping into the ideal drinking window, this comes highly recommended –
