Domaine Ghislaine Barthod is a highly respected boutique winery located in the prestigious Chambolle-Musigny village of Burgundy, France. The estate has a rich history dating back to the late 1920s when it was founded as Domaine Barthod-Noellat, a fusion of two winemaking families. 
 
A highly respected domaine located in the prestigious Chambolle-Musigny village, Domaine Ghislaine Barthod has a rich history dating back to the late 1920s when it was founded as Domaine Barthod-Noellat. The domaine gained its current name and rose to prominence under the leadership of Ghislaine Barthod, who took over the reins in 1987. Ghislaine, the daughter of Gaston Barthod, began her apprenticeship with her father in the early 1980s and has since brought new vigor and a distinct touch to the winery's operations. In recent years, the ruin has been steadily passed to Ghislaine's son Clément Boillot. 
 
Although the holdings are miniscale with only 5.86 hectares, the domaine holds a notable 11 Premier Crus in Chambolle-Musigny nowadays. As Clément mentioned, there are a lot of great elements to take from Vintage 2021 as the wines are  "fresh and energetic plus the underlying terroirs are crystal clear". It would be a unique experience to explore different Chambolle-Musigny terroirs at approachable prices nowadays.
