A young and talented winemaker with lots of attentions recently, Nicolas Bardou started his working experience from New Zealand and also worked in two respected domaines in Burgundy, Domaine Boisson Vadot and Jean-Yves Bizot in which he learned and have his own philosophy in winemaking. Then he decided to move back to his home Loire Valley and he started with Sauvignon Blanc at the beginning, which he is eager to produce very high quality Sauvignon Blanc which is compatible with the Grand Cru in Côte-d'Or.
 
Nowadays, Nicolas Bardou produces two Sauvignon Blanc, the Utopie Créative Touraine Oisly and Utopie Folie Insolente. Utopie Créative Touraine Oisly is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Oisly and the vines were planted in 1975 and received 20 months aging in barrels which includes 30% new oak and 70% used oak from Domaine Bizot and Coche Dury. The Folie Insolente comes from a parcel planted in 2007 and also aged in barrels in similar measure as the Utopie Créative.
