RARE! An Oenotheque Release, Henri Giraud Fut de Chene Collection MV 10

Henri Giraud is a prestigious name known for producing rich, extensive and powerful wine. Their wines are 100% oak-fermented and the house insists on producing with oak casks from the forest in Aÿ to impose the forest terroir into the wine, giving it one of the most unique flavors among all Champagnes. One of their most notable creations is their premium “multi-vintage” cuvee called "Fût de Chêne" which is a blend of around 70-75% Pinot Noir and 25-30% Chardonnay, with the grapes coming only from the best Grand Cru sites, and aged in oak casks for a minimum of 12 months before peacefully lying down for another 72 months until they achieve the best integration of fruits and oak.
We can access a fantastic parcel of late-released Henri Giraud Fût de Chêne MV10, the first release was in 2019, and the "Collection" is an oenotheque release in 2025. This is certainly a rare Champagne to consider -

The MV 10 Brut Fût de Chêne (Collection) is bright and focused, with plenty of Giraud richness lurking beneath. Lemon confit, white flowers and petrol add striking shades of nuance. The 2010 is one of the lighter, brighter vintages in this mini-vertical. It is also gracious, refined and sublime within the context of Champagnes that are usually richer and more boisterous.
