Our Favorite, Bollinger PN TX17 Now Arrived!

Pinot Noir is the pillar of the Champagne Bollinger style, and the House has forged its reputation by showcasing this variety, therefore, every champagne from Bollinger is mostly Pinot Noir - at least 60% - yet they did not have a regular Blanc de Noirs, except maybe the Vieilles Vignes Francaises which is a tiny-production, vintage cuvee from a single vineyard. So,  the champagne house was determined to create a new cuvee to showcase their Pinot and set up an internal competition among their winemakers to craft the best Blanc de Noirs (100% Pinot Noir) blend with the conditions that the wine had to be non-vintage, 100% Pinot Noir and possible to offer at both an affordable price and with some scale. And thus created the "PN VZ15" which PN stands for "Pinot Noir", "VZ" stands for "Verzenay" (the village of which the majority of the grapes come from), and "15" in reference to the vintage of the base wine.

Bollinger PN TX17  is the third edition of the series which centered on the 2017 base year with reserve wines from old vintages adding depth and complexity. 100& Pinot Noir with low dosage at 4g/L, this is a linear and terroir-driven Champagne with Bollinger’s character.
