Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaumonts is a distinguished vineyard located in the Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy. The terroir of Les Beaumonts is characterized by its unique combination of limestone and red clay soils, which contribute to the complexity and elegance of the wines. It’s not far away from the famous Grand Cru sites such as Echezeaux and Grands Echezeaux, as well as the historic site of Cros Parantoux 1er Cru. The vineyard is situated on a gentle slope, providing excellent drainage and optimal sun exposure, which are crucial for the ripening of the grapes.
 
Remains in very low profile, Domaine Desaunay-Bissey is one of the under-the-radar producers who produces outstanding wines without the influence of Burgundy price-increases in the last few years. However, this small estate was caught by Wine Advocate’s William Kelley recently, who said “An interesting portfolio of old-vine parcels, and avoids excesses of new oak and extraction. The wines are very true to their appellations, with creamy old-vine concentration and excellent balance. A visit here will be high on my agenda during my next visit to Burgundy.”
 
The producer produces a small parcel Vosne-Romanee Les Beaumonts 1er Cru with extremely old vines with the oldest from 1928, with an average age of 80+ years old, this is a very good value Vosne-Romanee from a famous site which is difficult to find replacement nowadays –
