Krug Grande Cuvée in Rare and Desirable Magnums - HK$4,650 per Mag
A world-famous Champagne house representing some of the very best quality champagne, Krug never fails to impress and satisfy its drinkers. Unlike other champagne houses, Krug’s non-vintage Grand Cuvée is regarded as the house's top production. The cuvee is re-created every year, blended from meticulously selected individual wines from more than 10 different years.
The most recent release is their 168th Edition which was composed around the 2012 harvest - a beautiful year with a low yield due to the frost, rain, storms and hale during winter and spring but was followed by the driest ripening season since 1974 - and was crafted to become what the house describes as "the most generous expression of Champagne". It is a blend of 198 wines from 11 different years, with the youngest from 2012 and the oldest dating back to 1996.
Scored 97pts by Wine Spectator which said this 168th edition was "hard to stop sipping" and 19 out of 20 points by Jancis Robinson who commented that this is "magnificently precise". Bottles are always popular but magnums, which are made in much smaller quantities, are the real prize for any Champagne collector. The comparative rarity against bottles makes them scarce in the market when mature and that when older stocks do occasionally appear, they always sell quickly. We are delighted to offer a parcel of Krug Grande Cuvée 168th Edition in rare magnums today at only HK$4,650 per Mag, let me know if you would like to secure a few -
Delivery is free-of-charge for single purchases above HK$3,000 or 6 bottles (or accumulated amount at time of delivery); otherwise, a standard delivery fee of HK$100 applies.
