Francois Mikulski's father met his Burgundian mother after escaping from Poland in 1939 and his mother was his leading light for going on the pathway of becoming one of the most successful winemakers in Meursault nowadays. She introduced him to work in the domaine in Burgundy and allowed him to develop his own domaine later in 1992, which he inherited some plots in Meursault from his late uncle. Since the 2000s, Francois Mikuslki was viewed as one of the exciting stars, and nowadays considered one of the top winemakers in Meursault. He insists using very little oak as he strives to show the true purity and minerality from the soil and grapes. His bottles are also unique in its "label-less" design - simply using chalk paint inspired by the chalk writing on oak barrels during fermentation, and they haven't used any capsules since 2003 too!
