A domaine which has a unique style and with extravagant quality, Domaine  Prieure Roch was established in 1988 by Henry-Frédéric Roch, who is the co-director and also part-owner of Domaine de la Romanee Conti. He has meticulous care for his grapes and always chase for the purity in them and seeks original expression of Pinot Noir from the terroirs. The vines are farmed under organic practices and also follows rules for biodynamic farming. The wines are vinified as whole clusters with wooden vats, and no sulphur is used from the whole vinification process.

Prieuré Roch Vosne-Romanée Le Clos Goillotte Monopole stands out as one of Burgundy’s most unique and storied wines, produced from a rare 0.55-hectare monopole vineyard nestled in the heart of Vosne-Romanée, just steps from the legendary La Tâche. Once the private garden vineyard of the Prince of Conti, its wines were reserved for household consumption and remained virtually unknown to the public until Henri-Frédéric Roch acquired the property in 1988, making Clos Goillotte’s bottlings available for the first time. The site’s old vines, now around 50 years of age, are organically farmed and yield exceptionally low quantities—typically less than 2,000 bottles per vintage. Its history, rarity, and the visionary stewardship of Henri-Frédéric Roch—who was also co-director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti—cement Clos Goillotte’s importance as a benchmark for both the estate and the entire Vosne-Romanée appellation.
