Arrive this week: Roche de Bellene Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2010
Nicolas Potel started out with a successful negotiant business in 1996 and has since been known to produce some of the most best-valued Burgundies. He developed an extensive sourcing network for high-quality grapes and the skills to produce fantastic Burgundies at excellent price tags. Due to financial hardship, he decided to sell his business to the Cottin brothers of Labouré-Roi in 2004 and continued to produce wines under the label until he set up a new label Roche de Bellene in 2008 to continue his negotiant business in Beaune. With the new label, Nicolas Potel has been aggressively working on biodynamic methods in which most of the growers he works with are operating either organically or biodynamically, and the qualities remain the same high standards as before.
