Having started her career in journalism in Paris, Marthe Henry decided to follow the “roots” of her family and moved to Meursault in 2017. Marthe Henry is a granddaughter of Pierre Boillot who is a great figure in the wine industry. Most of the vinification is practiced in a natural approach including using natural yeast during fermentation, avoiding sulfur and prolonged aging for at least 18 months before bottling.
 
In the Burgundy trip this week, we are lucky to sample a bottle of Marthe Henry Boillot Meursault Sous la Velle 2020 which is stunning. With laser-like purity and sharpness, a subtle touch of youthful reduction but firing with aromas of peach, orange oil and honeycomb, it is the upcoming star that shares a lot of similarities with Arnaud Ente and Benoit Ente.
