A domaine which has a unique style and with extravagant quality, Domaine Prieure Roch was established in 1988 by Henry-Frédéric Roch, who is the co-director and also part-owner of Domaine de la Romanee Conti. He has meticulous care for his grapes and always chase for the purity in them and seeks original expression of Pinot Noir from the terroirs. The vines are farmed under organic practices and also follows rules for biodynamic farming. The wines are vinified as whole clusters with wooden vats, and no sulphur is used from the whole vinification process.
Nuits-Saint-Georges Le Clos des Corvée is one of the famous cuvees from Domaine Prieure Roch, it is a monopole which has been often compared to top-tier premier cru wines such as Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses and Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux. It is celebrated for its aristocratic elegance among Nuits-Saint-Georges wines.
